Thomas J Tumelty

Thomas J. Tumelty of Cinnaminson, passed away peacefully at Cadbury in Cherry Hill on July 10, 2024 at the age of 84. Tom worked as an owner-operator truck driver for many years before his retirement. A true Irishman, spending time with family and friends was the one thing Tom looked forward to and cherished. He enjoyed baseball and fishing, it has been said he talked about fishing more than he actually fished. Thomas was predeceased by his brother, James William Tumelty. He leaves, to cherish his memory, his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Tumelty (Nee: Graff) and their children: Michael “Mike” (Ramona) Tumelty, Marie (Dave) Currie, Mark (Janet) Tumelty, Thomas “Tommy” Tumelty, Kate (Jevy) Tumelty; grandchildren: David (Danielle) Currie, Michelle Currie, Shannon Currie, Maura Tumelty, Megan Tumelty; great-granddaughter: Olivia Currie and his cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family invites friends to come and celebrate Tom’s life and memory on Saturday, July 20, 2024. A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church, 103 4th Street, Riverton, NJ 08077 from 9:30-10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am with burial of cremated remains to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family would like those attending to wear comfortable and casual clothing in accordance with Tom’s wishes.
