Vera L ‘Kiki’ Cutry, nee Lauck, died on June 17, 2021 at her daughters’ home, surrounded by family. She was 93.
Kiki lived in Beverly for 50 years before moving to the Burlington Manor in 2010.
She was born in Burlington and was preceded in death by her parents, Louise V Lauck & George D Lauck, her sister, Geraldine ‘Jerre’ Smith and most recently by her son, Joseph F. Cutry, Jr.
Kiki worked as a secretary at Rheem Manufacturing Co. in Burlington and also served as court clerk in Beverly, along with working for the democratic party in Beverly supporting her husband Joseph, during his term as mayor.
Her favorite job however, was being a devoted wife and mother to her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping and vacationing. Kiki was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Beverly, working on the chicken luncheons and frequently spending her time in the in the kitchen during coffee hour. She also served on numerous committees during her lifelong membership.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Cutry, Sr., and is survived by her daughters Louise Capri (Samuel) of Medford, Sherri ‘Shubi’ Cutri (Aurleen) of Vero Beach, George ‘Barney’ Schultz (Miki) of Mount Laurel, the late Joseph Cutry Jr. (Anne) of Mount Laurel, and her grandchildren Joseph Cutry III (Theresa), Christopher Cutry (Carole), John Cutry (Patricia), Stephanie Aubrey (John), Elizabeth Forcellini (Guido), George Schultz (Diane), Michael Schultz (Abby), Jennifer Brownlee-Everhart (Jeff), Kelly Capri, and David Capri (Amanda). Her great-grandchildren Christine Cutry, Marissa Cutry, Kerri Miller, Eric Cutry, Carly Cutry, Tyler Aubrey, Nicholas Aubrey, Zachary Aubrey, Rebecca Forcellini, Brook Forcellini, Andrew Forcellini, Abby Schultz, Jack Schultz, Natalie Schultz, Olivia Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Jacob Brownlee, Madison Brownlee, Avery Capri-Keo, Morgan Keo, Lucas Salvato, and Cameron Capri.
Her final days were spent at Louise & Sam’s where she was able to have visits while still living by all of her family. ‘Mom died peacefully and graciously just like the lady she was. We will miss her terribly as she fulfilled all of our lives.’
A viewing and funeral service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, #1 Hartford Road, Medford, NJ 08055. The viewing will be from 9-10am with the funeral service beginning at 10am with burial and eternal unity with Joe in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington to follow.
