Victor L. Morningstar

Victor L. (Vic) Morningstar, of Burlington, NJ, died Wednesday, April 6th, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington Township; he was 95 years of age. Born on March 14, 1916 in Saxton, PA., he was the son of the late Charles and Gertrude Morningstar. Vic had been employed by U.S. Pipe Foundry in Burlington for more than 30 years as an accountant retiring in 1981. A longtime member of the Broad Street United Methodist Church, Vic was a member of Burlington Lodge #32, F.&A.M., the Kiwanis Club of Burlington, the Mens Club and Senior Citizens Clubs of both Burlington and Beverly. In his earlier years he was active in the Boy Scouts and served as Scout Master. An avid hunter, Vic was active in many civic activities and at one time served as a Councilman for Burlington Township. Predeceased by his wife Louise, he is survived by his daughter and son in law: Dawn (Frank) Nicolai of Burlington, his son and daughter in law: Lynn (Vicki) Morningstar of Colorado. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Christopher, Eric, Gregory and Laura as well as his sister in law; Audrey Morningstar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Broad Street United Methodist Church, 36 E. Broad St., Burlington where relatives and friends may call beginning at 10:00 a.m. Additional services will be held Sunday, April 10th , at 2:00 p.m. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church St., Saxton, PA., 16678, where friends may call beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Broad Top I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top City, PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Vic's memory be made to the Broad Street United Methodist Church, 36 E. Broad St., Burlington, NJ. 08016.
