William Fox Obituary

William “Bill” Fox passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by loved ones during the final weeks of his life.

Bill was born on November 8, 1960, in Willingboro, New Jersey.  He graduated from Willingboro High School in 1979 where he studied heating and air conditioning.  Shortly after graduating, Bill achieved his dream of starting his own business, William C. Fox Heating and Air Conditioning, which turned into his lifelong endeavor of running a successful HVAC business in the community he grew up in and loved.

Bill was always very involved in his community starting as a young man with the Willingboro Volunteer Fire Company as a volunteer firefighter for 5 years.  As time moved on Bill became a pillar of the business and social community in Burlington County.  His company trucks emblazoned with the red fox emblem were seen throughout the community and gained the reputation of an honest and trustworthy family company always available to take care of customers and friends. Bill became involved in the Willingboro Rotary Club in 1993 and served in many formal and informal positions within the organization to include serving as Club President 1998-1999. He was an active member of Rotary until the time of his illness serving as the president of the Rotary PTA Scholarship Foundation. Bill was a board member of NJACCA, which is a nonprofit organization in the State of NJ with a charter to help guide contractors in the HVAC industry. He had a passion for the industry and ensured that those that would come behind him were successful and maintained the high standards he always strove to achieve.  Bill was a trustee of The Gift of Life charity organization as well as Operation Troop Appreciation.

Bill met the love of his life, Christina, and his future stepsons Michael and Eric in 1988. Five years later, in 1993, Bill and Christina wed and were together for over 35 years until the time of his passing.  Bill was the proud stepfather of two sons, Michael a 25-year veteran of PSE&G, and Eric who is a Colonel in the United States Army. He has two lovely daughters in law Alice and Regina and four beautiful grandchildren Michael 27, Christian 23, Jacquelyne 20, and Alexandrea 18.  Bill was the most caring a supportive husband to Christina and would do anything for his family and friends.

Bill was an enthusiastic traveler, hunter, and the biggest Philadelphia sports fan you would ever meet.  He could always be found at a game or watching the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies on TV.

Bill’s contributions to the community he lived in were honored in 2017 with a Joint Legislative Resolution by Senator Allen and Assemblymen Conaway and Singleton. It reads “This prestigious accolade is being bestowed upon Bill Fox in grateful recognition of his exemplary dedication and steadfast commitment to the community as an individual who has placed service above self.”

In honor of Bill’s service to the West Jersey Rotary Club, the club declared a special resolution in honor of one of the Club’s most active and dedicated members. On the 12th day of April 2023, it was resolved that the West Jersey Rotary Club would award an annual scholarship in Bill’s name to support the future HVAC schooling of a deserving student graduating from Burlington County Institute of Technology.

In addition to his wife, stepsons, daughter in laws and grandchildren, Bill is survived by his mother, Thelma Fox, as well as his sister Marcie Fox and brother Howard Fox along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his father Arnold Fox.

The funeral service will be at Page Funeral Home, 302 East Union Street, Burlington City, New Jersey on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 7 pm.  A visitation before the service will begin at 4 pm. The family will be there to welcome friends and family.
