William Thomas "Tom" Hurt, Jr.

William Thomas “Tom” Hurt, Jr. of Burlington Township, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday at Samaritan Inpatient Unit at Virtua Mt. Holly at the age of 66. He was born in Texas to William Hurt, Sr. and Mary Jackson Hurt. Know by his middle name Tom was a graduate of Burlington Township H. S., class of 1976. He then went to Lincoln Technical School and began his working career. Tom was a Nuclear Safety Specialist.  He worked for and retired from the Nevada Testing Site, In his spare time Tom was a coin collector and a big Dr. Who fan. Tom was predeceased by his father William, Sr. and his mother Mary. He is survived by his step-father Alan Mueller and his loving and devoted wife of 39 and a half years Nancy Pizzuti Hurt and their son William “Bill” (Jordan) Hurt. The family invites friends to his viewing and funeral service on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. The viewing will be from 2-3:30pm with a funeral service at 2:30. Interment will be held privately by his family.  Donations may be made in his memory to Samaritan at Samaritan Gift Processing Center, PO Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176.
