William "Bill" J Hankins

William J. “Bill” Hankins of Columbus, passed away at Samaritan, Mt. Holly on July 7, 2021 at the age of 90. Bill was born in Bridgeton, NJ and served his country Honorably during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Bill worked for and retired from Drexel University in Philadelphia after 30 years of service. He enjoyed swimming, fishing and genealogy. Bill was a true handyman who had the ability to help build or fix things for his family and friends. Bill cherished spending family time with his kids and grandchildren. He was predeceased his parents: William and Elizabeth and a brother Ralph Hankins. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 54 years, Diane (Nee: Seitz) Hankins and their children: William (Shantell) Hankins, Richard (Tara) Hankins, Jennifer (Bill) Strunk; grandchildren: Cody, Dylan, Isabel, Sophia Hankins, Nathan, Ellie Strunk and a sister Betty Osbourne. A visitation for Bill will be held at Old St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, located at the corner of W. Broad and Wood Street, in Burlington on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:30 until 11:30am. Mass will begin at 11:30 with burial of cremated remains to follow in St. Mary’s Churchyard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Mary’s Episcopal, 145 W.
