Edward A. Carugno, of Bensalem, PA passed away suddenly Wednesday July 21, 2021 at his residence at the age of 70. Edward was born in Burlington, NJ on February 15, 1951 and attended Burlington City High School and graduated with the class of 1970. He had a love of sports and his passion was playing basketball. He was selected to the 1970 Burlington County League All Star First Team. He attended the University of Maine, Gorham Campus and was a regular on the varsity basketball team. His love of basketball continued after college and he was a regular spectator at many high school games around Burlington County. Ed was a life member of the Oneida Boat Club in Burlington. He loved playing cards and making bets at the Parx Race Track. Ed held several jobs after college, including selling real estate in the early to mid 1970’s. He then began working as a debt collector for Allied Management Services, which later became NCB Management Services, Inc., a job he enjoyed very much. Ed will be remembered as an easygoing person with a kind heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Annette Carugno. Ed is survived by his sister Josephine (Judy) Decker of Bensalem, PA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing and funeral services for Ed which will be held Saturday July 31, 2021 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. The viewing will be from 10am-12 noon with funeral services beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.
