Gregory Fox Obituary

Gregory Fox of Burlington passed away Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Abigail House in Camden at the age of 74.  He was born February 18, 1947, to Robert (Scotty) Fox and Dorothy (Bingo Dottie) Reynolds Fox, became little brother to my father, Robert (Bobby) Fox when my dad was almost 3 years old. Greg and Bob lost their father Scottie in their teen years and Dottie was left to raise them as a single parent from 1961. He grew up in Burlington and later move to Moorestown when he married Pam. Greg became an active member of Fountain of Life, sometimes even taught my Sunday school class when Nanny brought me to church in the early 70’s. Greg did eventually marry Pamela Brice Fox on May 26th, 1984. They haven’t been in touch for most of the last decade due to some matters that were out of their control. That was an extremely hard time for my Uncle Greg, but he eventually found his way out of the darkness he struggled with from losing touch with his dearest Pam.  He had always talked about his plans to write a book about his life and his battle with cancer and beating it.  We brought him to Colorado 3 years ago and it was an all-around amazing visit. He had every intention of moving here but health issues would not allow this to come to fruition.  We’re just so grateful for the time we had him visit Colorado and we got to show him all his big brother Bobby’s favorite places and celebrate birthdays and meet our cousins who recently moved to Colorado (Richie’s kids, Katie and Susie Fox). He also got to meet his Great Great Nephew, Nolan.  Gregory, Gregster, Greg is known to most as a Godly man who loves the Lord and was often reading scripture and sharing scripture. He loved to read and write. He was a member of Toastmasters and worked as an accountant at McGuire Air Force Base for most of his working life. He had many gifts including the incredible ability to memorize and quote scripture.  Greg has been described as a funny, encouraging, lively, positive, first class all around great guy, an amazing spirit-loving, learning, listening and left a lasting memory on all those who knew him. Once you became a friend to Greg, it was for life!!  A beautiful spirit that will be missed. Always had a word of scripture to share. He loved to sing and dance. He also could recall specific details of memories from many years ago.  In addition to his parents, Greg was predeceased by his brother Bob.  He is survived by wife Pam, his niece Denene and her husband Jason and his great nephew and nieces Chante, Allison, Stephanie, and Braylyn, as well as great great nephew Nolan.  A viewing for Greg will be held Wednesday September 29, 2021 from 9-10am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington.  Funeral services will begin at 10am.  Interment will be held privately.
