James H. Stockbridge of Burlington, passed away at Silver Health Care Center in Cherry Hill on Tuesday at the age of 71. Born in Weymouth MA, lived in Florida and most recently resided in Burlington. He worked various jobs throughout his working career, lastly for Bob Reisig at Florida Tire Terminal. A devoted “Man of the Lord”, James was an Ordained Minister at the New Apostolic Church for 40 years. He loved his family and cherished his time with his grandchildren. Jim loved to make people laugh and also enjoyed fishing. James was predeceased by his parents: John and Marjorie (Nee:Bailey) and his siblings: John and Louise and his son Jim Jim. A Loving husband of 49 years to Virginia (Nee: Tippens) Stockbridge and their children: Debbie (Jeff) Cottrell and Alicia (John) Evans; grandfather of Maddie (Johnny), J.J., Karl, Evelyn, Eddie, Mickey, Daniel and great-grandfather to Nicholas and Jonathan. Brother of Skip (Evangeline), Nancy (Digger), Bob (Judy), Ralph (Judy) and uncle of many, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family invites friends to his Memorial Life Celebration Services on Saturday, October 9, 2021, visitation starting at 2pm with the Service to begin at 3pm at The New Apostolic Church, 716 Pomona, Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. Light refreshments will be served after the service. A Celebration of Life Service will also be held on Friday, November 26th at The New Apostolic Church 4685 Lake Holden Hills Dr Orlando, Fl 32839 at 12 noon for family and friends.
