Pauline Edge Obituary

Pauline Elizabeth Edge born May 27, 1931 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Samaritan Center in Mount Holly at the age of 90.

A life-long resident of Burlington City, she was the daughter of George Weber and Frances Darch Weber and younger sister to Anne Weber DeVeney.  Pauline and her husband, Richard, were High School sweethearts. They went on to be married for 68 years having six children, Kathleen Edge and husband Thomas D’Artagnan, Teresa Edge, Donna Edge and partner Chris Cassells, Nancy Edge and husband Bill Johnson, Richard Edge Jr. and wife Isabel Mijangos and Stephen Edge and wife Patricia Policastro.  She has eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, sister-in-law Audrey Edge Perry and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pauline had several jobs during her lifetime which included civil service with the NJ Unemployment office, but her number one priority was raising her children and loving her family. Her life was an example to all who knew her, of how to live with faith, determination and love.

She loved reading, specifically romance novels (the bookshelf of Danielle Steel titles can attest to that) and enjoyed sharing meals with as many people as possible, the more the merrier. Whether close family or new acquaintance, there was always room for one more at the table. She loved baking and sharing these mouthwatering treats to all that came though her door.

Pauline loved her family, friends and her birth town, Burlington City. She knew everyone and everyone loved her.  She represented the goodness that we need in our lives.  She was kind and genuine.  Her life is a celebration of the ordinary, a reminder that when all else is stripped away, a life with love is enough. Heaven gained a beautiful angel.

A viewing will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1308 Rancocas Road from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 and on Thursday May 26th from 10-11 am.  A service and celebration of her life will be on Thursday at 11:00am at the church.  Burial will follow at the Brig Gen Wm Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, North Hanover, NJ.

Due to cemetery restrictions of floral tributes, the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Endeavor Emergency Squad, Shriners Children’s hospital or a charity of your choice.
