Theresa Marie Carter

Theresa Marie Carter, 65, of Burlington Township, went home to be with Jesus on September 6, 2022. A viewing will be held at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington on Friday, September 16, 2022 between 6-8:30pm. A service will begin at 8pm.

Theresa was born on January 11, 1957 to John and Kathleen McGinnis. Theresa was born and raised in Kensington, PA. Theresa moved to New Jersey where she met John Carter. They dated for a few years and then got married on June 20, 1981. John was her soulmate and they just celebrated 41 years of marriage.

Theresa waitressed for many years until obtaining her CDL. She became a bus driver and drove for 19 years for Head Start in Delanco. She retired from bus driving in 2015. Theresa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She enjoyed reading, traveling the world, board games and spending time with family and friends. Theresa was known for her love and strong faith in God and being a prayer warrior. Theresa was a Deaconess at High Place Church of Merchantville. 

Theresa is survived by her dedicated loving husband of 41 years, John Carter; ;stepdaughters: Yvonne and Renee Carter; son and daughter and in law: Isaac (Jasinna) Carter; daughter and son in law Lyndsay (Daniel) Kaighn: grandchildren: Christian, Candice, Casey, Aaron, Daniel, Dominic, Julian, Nicholas, Adriana, Alexia; great-grandchildren: Micah, Caleb, Caleah, Cecelia, Makayla; siblings: Kenny, Sarah, Irving (Emma), David, Jeanne, John (Tamre). She was the caretaker of one of her dearest friends, Mary Klerx. Theresa had many nieces and nephews. She had several church friends and close life long friends. Theresa is deeply missed and will forever be missed by all her family and friends.
