There are moments in life when words feel too small for the gratitude in your heart. Today is one of those moments.

On behalf of my family and myself, I want to offer my deepest and most heartfelt thank you to Brian Horn, owner of Page Funeral Home, and the staff, for the extraordinary care, compassion, and professionalism he showed during my brother Nicholas J. Abate memorial service on March 15, 2026.

When your heart is broken and you are trying to say goodbye to someone you love, every detail matters. Brian understood that. From the moment we began planning the service, he treated my brother’s memory and our family with dignity, patience, and kindness that I will never forget.

Brian’s attention to detail and genuine compassion helped guide us through one of the most difficult days of our lives. In a time when my heart felt shattered, his care helped bring a measure of peace to our family. He made sure my brother was honored with the respect and grace he deserved.

It was deeply moving to witness the honors given to my brother by the Burlington City Police Department and K-9 Unit, the Fire Department, and the United States Army Honor Guard. The respect shown by these men and women meant more to our family than words can express.

And for anyone who has experienced the moment when the American flag is carefully folded and presented from a loved one’s casket… you know the feeling. It is a moment of profound silence, pride, sacrifice, and love that stays with you forever. It is impossible not to feel the weight of service, family, and country in that moment.

Brian made sure those sacred moments were handled with the utmost respect and dignity. He didn’t simply perform a service — he helped create a tribute worthy of my brother’s life.

Brian, thank you for walking beside us through our grief and for helping us honor Nick with such compassion and professionalism. My family and I will never forget your kindness and the comfort you brought to us during such a painful time.
